Our 2021 Starbeam is a captivating expression of 100% Napa Valley Cabernet and is an instant Starfield classic! On the nose, you are greeted with aromas of black currant, boysenberry, cocoa nib, black peppercorn, and cardamom with hints of vanilla, lavender and bay leaf. A core of minerality runs through the bouquet and into the palate, with an unmistakable impression of graphite underlying every sip. Opulent fruit pop in the forefront, while intriguing savory notes add depth and structure. Fresh black cherry, spiced blueberry, and raspberry preserve are the foundation of this beauty with notable flavors of tobacco, sarsaparilla, cedar and most distinctly, rich, dark chocolate. The well-balanced acidity and finely polished tannins ensure this wine will continue to age gracefully now through 2030.
